Boku is a secure payment method that requires someone physically holding the handset to authorise a charge. Text messages are sent to the handset for each payment, which detail the total cost of the product being purchased. It is clear throughout every step of the payment that by sending authorization from the phone, a charge will be made.
If you have charges on your phone bill that you don’t recognise, we recommend that you log into your Boku Customer Care Portal to understand what was purchased and from which merchant.
Content purchased using Boku is non-refundable. If you wish to prevent future charges, you can block your phone number in your Boku Customer Care Portal. Guidelines for blocking can be found in our relevant FAQ.
Boku also recommends that you contact your carrier to request that they block Carrier Billing or Premium SMS services, if you wish to prevent carrier billing charges from other providers.
